Low back pain can stem from many different things. Sometimes it is related to the upper back being too tight and stiff or the low back becoming hyper mobile. Sometimes it is related to hip stiffness and weakness. Many times the transverses abdominas core muscle is not firing at the times it should be so there is less muscular support of the back. Other reasons could be disc protrusion or poor disc health that starts irritating the muscles, tendons, nerves, and ligaments around it.
In a Physical Therapy session we will look at all the possible reasons and try to provide you with the optimal treatment progression for you.
